The Higher Education Law Enforcement Inspection Group of the NPC Standing Committee visited Dalian University for investigation

On the morning of July 19th, Dafeng Cai, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, led the Higher Education Law Enforcement Inspection Team to visit Dalian Neusoft University of Information. Relevant officials from National People’s Congress, Liaoning Provincial People’s Congress, Dalian Municipal People’s Congress and Dalian Municipal Government accompanied the visit. Tao Wen, CEO of Neusoft Education Technology Co. Ltd., Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of Dalian Neusoft University of Information, together with all the school leaders, accompanied the inspection team to conduct the field visit.

The inspection team visited the Student Office & Venture Office (SOVO) and School of Digital Arts and Design of Dalian Neusoft University of Information. President Wen briefly introduced the school development history to the inspection team. Shan Deng, Dean of School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, reported to the inspection team about school’s development of innovation and entrepreneurship education. The inspection team listened to the report on the teachers & students’ innovation and entrepreneurship practice project and exchanged their ideas with students about the project development. The inspection team visited the 13th “Digital Spring Practice Exhibition” of the School of Digital Arts and Design. Qingjun Yu, Dean of the School of Digital Arts and Design, together with the teachers in charge of the relevant exhibition areas introduced the features of the works.

Later on, the inspection team held a forum in the Administration Building. Some of the teacher and student representatives from Dalian Neusoft University of Information reported on party building work, talent cultivation, construction of teaching staff and learning outcomes. The inspection team communicated in-depth with teachers and students about the construction of teaching staff and student employment.

Dafeng Cai, head of the inspection team and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, made a conclusion speech. In his speech, he expounded the significance of the law enforcement inspection of higher education law in protecting the rights of teachers and students. He hoped that teachers and students fully understand the higher education law, strengthen legal awareness and actively participate in the construction of the national legal system. Private universities are still in the development stage. They have their advantages of school running and also the objective limitations. As a private university, Dalian Neusoft University of Information has a clear subject for school running and a strong driving force for development. It has overcome many difficulties in running the school. Vice Chairman Cai said that the school is growing together with teachers and students. They formed a community of closely related interests. He encouraged the teachers and students of our school to strive for self-improvement, and hoped that the school, teachers and students would build a relationship of mutual promotion. Teachers and students should love the school and have confidence in the development of the school. The school should pay attention to the fulfillment of the teachers’ value and continuously improve the quality of personnel training. The 3 parts should make joint efforts to contribute to the development of our motherland

In addition, on July 18th, the Higher Education Law Enforcement Inspection Team of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress held a forum in Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. Tao Wen, CEO of the company, Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of Dalian Neusoft University of Information, attended the meeting and delivered a report.
