12 visitors from University of Dundee (U.K.) visited Neusoft Education Technology Group

Wendy Alexander, Vice-Principal International, John Rowan, Vice Principal Research, Knowledge Exchange and Wider Impact and 12 visitors from School of Science and Engineering，Research Centre, Health Informatics Centre, School of Business and other relative departments of University of Dundee (U.K.) visited Neusoft Education Technology Company and Dalian Neusoft University of Information and did a 2-day visit and information exchange with Neusoft Group from May 29th to May 30th, 2019. Jiren Liu, Chairman and CEO of Neusoft, Chairman of Neusoft Education Technology Company, Tao Wen, CEO of Neusoft Education Technology Company, Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of Dalian Neusoft University of Information, Xue Li, Vice-President and CKO of Neusoft Education Technology Company, Weikun Wang, Administrative Director of the company, Quan Guo, Vice-Principal of Dalian Neusoft University of Information, Yidan Rong, dean of School of International Education and principals from other relative departments welcomed and accompanied the visiting group.

During the Kick-off Meeting on May 29th, Principal Tao Wen on behalf of Neusoft Education Technology Company and Dalian Neusoft University of Information warmly welcomed Wendy Alexander, Vice-Principal International and every guest came all the way from the U.K.

According to Principal Tao Wen, visitors had visited Neusoft Park in Shenyang, Neusoft Xikang and Neusoft Medical Systems during the recent days and had already got a relatively clear understanding of Neosoft』s businesses. Neosoft is the first listed software company in China and the biggest supplier of digital healthcare and medical techniques, services and equipments. As a crucial part of Neusoft 「Big Health」 strategy and ecosystem, education and scientific research are also an important part of the development. During the following 2 days, we are going to show you and let you experience the campus environment, school-running characteristics, innovation and entrepreneurship atmosphere and scientific achievements. Meanwhile, he hoped that University of Dundee』s visit this time would establish a basis for sincere cooperation and explore a new milestone.

Since the year of 2000 when establishing the first IT university, Neusoft was aiming at establishing a 「distinctive, high-leveled, entrepreneurial university with applied skills」. During the past 19 years of development, Neusoft implemented the full-scale strategic layout from higher education to educational derivative businesses and has already become the biggest private higher education group for IT talents training. Wendy Alexander, Vice-Principal International from University of Dundee expressed her sincere gratitude to Principal Wen and all the professors from Neusoft for their warm hospitality. This journey with Neusoft changed her perception towards Chinese universities. She said that there are many similarities between these 2 universities on scientific research and teaching. She was very optimistic about the future development of Neusoft Education and hoped that we could have a more comprehensive cooperation plan.

Soon afterwards, visitors came to Dalian Neusoft University of Information accompany with Principal Tao Wen and Vice-President Xue Li. They visited consecutively the school library, laboratories, Student Office & Venture Office (SOVO), School of Digital Arts and Design and phase 3 students』 living area, explained in detail by Quan Guo, Vice-Principal of Dalian Neusoft University of Information, teachers and students from each department.

Wendy Alexander, John Rowan and all the scholars communicated and experienced in depth with teachers and students present. She gave recognition and spoke highly of the beautiful campus environment in Dalian and distinctive school-running model.

In the morning of May 30th, Xue Li, Vice-President and CKO of Neusoft Education Technology Company led the scientific researchers from different research direction introduced in particular the Research Institute of Neusoft Education Technology Company. The Research Institute relies on the industrial strengths of Neusoft Group, Neusoft Medical, Neusoft Xikang etc., integrates the existing talents from 3 schools and focuses on the theme of technological innovation. It accumulated a wealth of statistical and R&D experience on smart city, digital economy, medical equipment, health management, higher education and continuing education. The institute committed to become a national leading, production and research combined and integrated private scientific research institution and to become a benchmark of technological innovation like big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence etc.

Next, the guests visited the Smart Health Big Data Lab, Medical Equipment and Image Processing Lab, Educational technology Lab and Network & Information Security Lab, learned the latest scientific achievements of the institute.

Next, we held a research discussion and discussed the feasibility of scientific research projects cooperation.

After the discussion, the guests came to the Shahekou Software Park of Neusoft. Jiren Liu, Chairman and CEO of Neusoft, Chairman of Neusoft Education Technology Co. Ltd warmly welcomed the guests from University of Dundee and discussed in depth the possible cooperation in the future.
