DNUI, the only college among its kind in Liaoning, has been included in the list of the first batch of national-level first-class undergraduate courses

Recently, the Ministry of Education has issued <the Notice on publication of the first batch of national first-class undergraduate course identification result>. After application and recommendation of provincial education administrative departments, colleges and universities, the Ministry of Education has organized online evaluation and review meetings, Dalian Neusoft University School of Computer Science “Programming Foundation (C Language) I” has been included in the list of the first batch of national-level first-class undergraduate courses (offline first-class courses). After being included in the list of the first batch of “the Double Ten-thousand Talents Programs” national first-class bachelor degree majors, Dalian Neusoft University’s course has been again listed in the first-class undergraduate courses, which is the only recognized private higher education institution included in the first batch list of Liaoning Province. Before that, “Programming Foundation (C Language) I” and “Database Principles and Technology” of School of Computer Science has been identified as 2020 provincial-level first-class undergraduate courses .

In October 2019, the Ministry of Education issued “Implementation Opinions on first-class undergraduate course construction”. Following the bachelor degree “Double Ten-thousand Talents Programs”, MOE will construct about ten thousand national-level undergraduate courses and about ten thousand provincial-level undergraduate courses (referred to as first-class undergraduate courses “the Double Ten-thousand Talents Programs”).

    

This course identification focus on innovation, demonstration and promotion of the innovative, compound and applied talent cultivation course construction. “Programming Foundation (C Language) I” has outstanding innovation points and obvious teaching effect. In the course construction, the course content is closely integrated with the industry forefront: four of the five teachers in the course group have enterprise working experience, the dual qualified teaching staff has obvious advantage, the course relies on in-depth school-enterprise cooperation, which effectively guarantees teaching results. With ACM community as the carrier, the course is deeply integrated with the competition. In recent two semester, a total of 1909 students have participated in the college programming competition, and 1294 of them won awards. As an important fundamental course of Dalian Neusoft University computer related majors, the C language course, which is in the charge of this course group teacher, has been identified as provincial-level and national-level premium course successively.


Since its establishment, Dalian Neusoft University of Information has taken course as the core of talent cultivation, constantly deepening course construction and improving talent cultivation quality. In the future, the university will take the national-level first-class undergraduate course construction as an opportunity to promote TOPCARES+blended learning reform, guiding with “new idea, new vision, new technology, new method”, implement “student-centered, output-orientated, continuous improvement” ideas, and implement talent cultivation project to each course, give full play to the leading and demonstration effect of national-level first-class undergraduate course, promote continued improvement of university course construction content, major construction quality and talent cultivation quality.
